In 2019, the office completely rebranded the program to be “Maryland Smith Women Inspire” to acknowledge that women lead more than just other women. Due to the pandemic, Women Inspire moved to a virtual format in 2021. The move to a virtual format helped to increase past honoree attendance from 22% to 78% and general attendance by 55%.
